Barrel House

Located on historic distillery property, this small-batch distillery produces bourbon the old fashioned way. The distillery offers tours every hour. Afterwards, try some specialty drinks in the taproom or lounge.

Barrel House is located in the historic barreling house of the former Pepper Distillery in Lexington, KY. This distillery produces award-winning spirits, including RockCastle Bourbon, Pure Blue Vodka, Oak Rum, and Devil John Moonshine. Besides offering tours, Barrel House also offers a unique gift shop, as well as a restaurant called the Elkhorn Tavern.

The Barrel House Distillery is one of the best places to visit in the Cranks Kentucky District. The company distills small batches and sells bottles of their spirits. Owner Tony Davis, a former Marine, turned disused bourbon barrels into useful products.

Middle Fork Kitchen and Goodfellas Pizzeria are two other great restaurants in Cranks. The former features exposed brick and a wood-fired grill. Goodfellas Pizzeria, with its signature long breadsticks, is another good option. Both restaurants are in the Distillery District. The barrel house also serves ice cream. The restaurant’s ice cream bar was named one of the best ice cream shops in the United States by People Magazine.

There are a variety of restaurants and bars in Cranks Kentucky. Seafood Lady offers delicious seafood and tacos. If you’re looking for something a bit more adult-friendly, you should try Lockbox at the 21C Hotel. While there, you can sample West Sixth Brewing’s IPA or Country Boy Brewing’s Shotgun Wedding Brown Ale Aged on Vanilla Beans. Other great options include Ethereal Brewing’s Boxy Brown Coconut Brown Ale and Care Bear Sour Wheat with Oranges.

Butcher Holler Spook House

Perfect North Slopes

If you’re looking for a new alpine skiing resort in the heart of Indiana, Perfect North Slopes is the perfect place to go. Featuring 5 chairlifts, 2 rope tows, and 5 magic carpets, this Indiana ski resort offers over 23 miles of slopes to choose from. There are three expert trails and a number of intermediate and beginner trails.

Perfect North Slopes in Cranks has three lodges: Main Lodge, West Lodge, and East Lodge. The east lodge features a small cafeteria and ski shop. All three lodges are located adjacent to the main ski area. The Perfect North Slopes also features a 750-foot tubing run, with three sections and 23 lanes.

The Perfect Family founded Perfect North in 1980 and raised the money for the resort through the sale of cattle. In the early days, the resort had two rope tows on the “big” hill and two handle tows on the “bunny” slope. Several years later, the ski area added a chairlift and several large jumps. Today, the Perfect North ski area has three different terrain parks. The advanced park is lift serviced, with many large jumps, and the beginner park is tow rope serviced. The Perfect North ski area also hosts competitions and clinics for local skiers, snowboarders, and riders. The yearly Big Air competition, Mud Stash, and Spring Carnival are just a few of the events Perfect North Slopes has hosted.

The Perfect North ski area is a popular destination for Indiana visitors. With 400-foot vertical, this Indiana ski resort attracts skiers from all over Southern Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The lodge at the top of the mountain offers a view of the slopes, a cafeteria, pro shop, and season locker rooms. The ski lodge also features a stone grinder and repair shop.

Conner Prairie

Conner Prairie is an outdoor interpretive area located about 20 miles north of downtown Cranks. It offers programming for kids from April until October. During the winter, visitors can visit the indoor welcome center. Activities for kids include learning activities and animal encounters. Admission to Conner Prairie costs $20 per adult and $15 per child ages two to twelve.

The museum blends science and history to create an interactive experience. There are hands-on exhibits and history-themed immersive experiences, including interactions with costumed characters. Visitors can also visit historical recreations and play on an interactive treetop. Hot air balloon rides are also available.

Another unique feature of Conner Prairie is the home where a family lived. The home was built by carpenters and was staffed by a blacksmith who made nails. Inside the house, visitors are encouraged to open the cabinet drawers, which tell of two different lifestyles. The house had a large kitchen and two large bedrooms.

While visiting Cranks, Kentucky, visitors can enjoy several outdoor attractions. The town is near Louisville, KY and is a popular destination for tourists.
